Introduction
Johnny Garcia is a guitarist, producer and publisher from south Texas. Johnny arrived in Nashville in June of 1991 to audition as lead guitarist for Trisha Yearwood at the onset of her career. He rose to the top of a crop of many guitarists from 5 days of auditions and was granted the position. In 1992 he was promoted to Music Director / band leader of all of Yearwood’s touring and television performances all over the world and still holds the position. Furthermore, he was hired by Garth Brooks as his lead guitarist in 2000 through 2020. Garcia is currently on the Yearwood Tour.
Beyond his successes as a Nashville guitarist / music director, Johnny has also ventured into other facets of the music industry as a music publisher, record producer, studio musician and songwriter. Listed below are a few of Johnny’s accomplishments.
