Introduction

Alex Grube is counted as one of today’s most sought-after live and session bassists. After finishing his studies at the reputable Popakademie (Mannheim, Germany) Grube moved to Hamburg to pursue his music career in the studio scene. He quickly gained a reputation as a first-call bassist of the finest caliber.

In a journal interview with "Guitar&Bass,” Alex is quoted: "On one hand there is this palm-mute-thing that I do for very laid-back soul-grooves and on the other there are the eighth-notes when I have my bass hang really low, a little overdrive, take my pick and off I go.“ 2008/09 Grube did a nine-month long world-tour with Sarah Brightman, the best selling soprano of all times, and played in legendary venues like the Budokan (Tokio) and Madison Square Garden (New York).
