The Original Chorus Tone That Set Standard
WA-C1 has all of the vintage tones, functionality, and vibe of the famous original chorus/vibrato pedal with added controls to separate rate and depth and brighten the tone. Like the lauded original, WA-C1 has a dedicated vibrato section, and an always-on 100% analog preamp that adds tons of analog tone and character. The carefully designed circuit helps bring the vintage depth of the modulation when turned all the way up, and also allows the WA-C1 to have variable depth to dial back for subtle tones. True to the original pedal, WA-C1 delivers rich depth and wobbly rate in waves, favored by legendary musicians like The Police, Queen, Stone Temple Pilots, Rush, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and more.
Deeper, Richer, Bigger: Chorus & Vibrato Tone
The WA-C1 delivers lush midrange depth and detail associated with proper Bucket Brigade Device analog chorus pedals. On vintage units, “intensity” increased the speed of the LFO with the triangle wave shape, impacting the delay time of the BBD chip and creating a more lush tone and faster rate. With the WA-C1, you can go beyond the limitations of vintage pedals by dialing in more subtle depth and the same varying rates for a larger palette of chorus tones. When engaging the hi-z, the chorus instantly transforms from a 70s color to an 80s color, with added upper-mids and treble. Engaging the “high” input sensitivity setting can be used to add headroom and clarity to the overall pedal tone. WA-C1 adds a flashing LED for effect monitoring on the face showing which setting is engaged along with the rate of the modulation. A true-to-original recreation, WA-C1 is 100% analog, using premium components like the MN3007 Xvive BBD chip.
