As a behind the scenes entity, Kim’s Sophomore Project entitled, “THE SCiENCE OF COMPLETiON VOLUME I-II,” showcased her abilities as a Recording Artist, B-3 Organist, Executive Producer, Singer, and Songwriter. “THE SCiENCE OF COMPLETiON VOLUME I-II,” started off as a moment to incorporate younger musicians interested in music within the Creative Arts Department of Florence High School under Dr. Jerry Foster. It was there that demos were recorded with most engineering being completed by Michael Ivey, the grandson of Muscle Shoals Hall of Fame Keyboardist, Clayton Ivey. In those years, several songs were recorded that incorporated many high school students. From that moment, those songs later developed into a double album that was finalized at Royal Studios in Memphis, Tennessee. In this moment, Kim took on another approach of her ability as a songwriter by going back in time to collectively create a body of work that was recorded in the traditional way with live musicians throughout the entire recording. The musicians that completed the entire project included: Lawrence “Boo” Mitchell, Kedrick Scribner Sr., Jackson Snowden, Carlos Sargent, Jubu Smith, Mononeon, Jonathan Richmond, Jackie Clark, Daru Jones, Dave Crenshaw, Rene Benton, Marc Franklin, Celina Fields, Shontelle Norman-Beatty, Sharisse Norman, Vincent Price Jr., Art Edmaiston, Kameron Whalum, Kirk Smothers, Priscilla Tsai, Aaron Tubergen, Iran Zombar, Jennifer Anne Puckett, Yennifer Correia, Jessica Munson, Wen Yuh You, Photographer Ziggy Mack, and Abbey Road Recording Studio. Together, 24 songs were created that evoked power, soul, and spirit that will be released later in 2021.
